    School Funding Overview At-A-Glance

Right now, at least eight opportunities for funding a district’s social-emotional behavior program at the federal level exist.

    1. Title 1: Focuses on schools with populations significantly economically disadvantaged.
    2. Title II: Supports student success by ensuring educators have access to the proper tools to advance learning.
    3. Title IV: Focuses on well-rounded education by improving school conditions conducive to learning and promotes the effective integration of technology in the classroom.
    4. Title VI: Ensures that all students have access to high-quality education.
    5. Title VIII: Enables tailored interventions and support services, ultimately improving academic achievement, school climate, and fostering a conducive learning environment and promoting success of students impacted by federal activities.
    6. Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA): Ensures students with special needs get early intervention and support.
    7. Project AWARE Grants: Establishes a sustainable framework for mental health support in schools.
    8. Promoting Student Resilience Program: Fosters positive school climate and trauma-informed approaches to improve care for school-aged youth.

While each program is nuanced, all of them focus on supporting students through building safe, inclusive learning environments, supporting educational equity, and contributing to mental wellbeing.
